Today, 5 January, the St Andrews Links Trust again opened up applications for golfers to apply for guaranteed tee-times on the Old course in 2011.

Applications for this year originally opened at the start of September last year. What the Links Trust are making available now are times which were not confirmed when offered out to golfers on that first round of applications. There will therefore be limited availability. However, if you are coming to Scotland for a golfing trip this year and are looking for a guaranteed time for the St Andrews Old course, at the standard green fees, it’s well worth a try. The green fees for the Old course in 2011 are £140 GBP per person.

More information is on the St Andrews Links Trust website, including the application form and the guidelines you need to consider. Applications must be made by the lead golfer and can not be made by tour operators on your behalf. Your application can be emailed to the Links Trust at reservations@standrews.org.uk. The more dates you can offer for playing the Old course the more chance you will have of being successful.
