Kilspindie Golf Club is the 35th oldest golf club in the world. This is a links
course which retains its original, traditional features. Several holes border
the shoreline and each hole enjoys great views.
There are narrow fairways bounded by the sea and in summer there is heavy rough
to add to the need for accuracy. There are also some strategically placed
bunkers.
There are a number of testing holes but perhaps the best hole on the golf course is
the par 3 8th which overlooks Gosford Bay and demands a shot that will carry
over the beach, which can be a challenge on a windy day!
Although not a long golf course, Kilspindie still presents a worthy challenge to
more gifted players and is well worth including in a golf break to the east coast
of Scotland.
