Edinburgh airport is less than an hour to the courses on the East Lothian coast, while the journey to St Andrews takes around 90 minutes. The airport is an hour from Gleneagles and just over two hours to Inverness.

Prestwick Airport is particularly convenient for the west coast, being close to Troon, Prestwick and Turnberry. Prestwick Airport is around 45 minutes from the town of Glasgow.

Glasgow Prestwick has a range of Ryanair flights from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden, in addition to Transavia flights from Amsterdam.


Aberdeen Airport is very close to the links courses north of Aberdeen city and less than two hours to St Andrews.

Airlines flying to Aberdeen Airport from Europe include Air France and BMI from Denmark and the Netherlands.

There are also a choice of flights from Norway, including from BMI and SAS.


By sea

Edinburgh and Glasgow are well served by rail links to England, with journey time to London being just 4 and half hours to Edinburgh and around 5 hours to Glasgow.
